Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 March 2026
Welcome to Denning. By using our mobile application, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. About Denning
Denning is a legal aid platform that helps citizens understand their rights, use Ask Denning, track supported court cases, discover advocates, estimate legal fees, and access legal information. Advocate services, document services, court workflows, and live court sync may be limited to pilots or supported regions.
2. AI Legal Assistant
Denning includes an AI-powered assistant that provides general legal guidance based on Indian law. This assistant:
- Provides general information about legal processes, rights, and procedures
- Does not constitute legal advice from a licensed advocate
- May not reflect the most recent legal changes or amendments
- Should not be relied upon as the sole basis for legal decisions
For matters requiring legal representation, we recommend consulting a qualified advocate through our platform or independently.
3. Advocate Services
Denning facilitates connections between clients and advocates. We do not:
- Endorse, guarantee, or vouch for any advocate listed on the platform
- Guarantee the outcome of any legal matter
- Act as a party to any advocate-client relationship
- Set or control advocate fees (fee information is provided for reference only)
Clients are responsible for verifying advocate credentials and making their own decisions about legal representation.
4. User Accounts and Responsibilities
When using Denning, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information during registration and profile setup
- Keep your account credentials secure and not share access
- Not use the platform for fraudulent, illegal, or harmful purposes
- Not upload false case information or impersonate others
- Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other users
5. Advocate-Specific Terms

- Hold a valid Bar Council registration
- Provide accurate professional information
- Respond to client communications in a timely manner
- Comply with the Bar Council of India Rules on Professional Standards
6. Payments
Payments for paid consultations or services are processed through the payment channel shown at checkout where those services are available. Denning does not store credit card or bank account details. Payment disputes should be raised with us at support@denning.in within 7 days of the transaction.
7. Intellectual Property
The Denning app, its design, code, and content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by us. Legal texts, statutes, and court judgments included in the knowledge base are public domain materials.
